HYDRIQ SENS — pH, ORP & EC Water Analysis

Multiparameter water analysisHYDRIQ SENS / Field inspection

HYDRIQ SENS / Water quality

One sample.
Three parameters.

Measure pH, ORP and electrical conductivity simultaneously from a simple water sample collected during your fire hydrant or wet riser inspection.

Add water quality context to your hydraulic tests, without a separate site visit.

01 / Understand your measurements

A clearer picture
of your water.

Compare your readings with the network’s usual conditions to identify changes worth investigating.

pH

Acidity & basicity.

Shows how acidic or basic the water is.

Assess conditions relevant to corrosion, material compatibility and treatment.

pH provides context; it does not establish corrosion risk on its own.

ORPmV

Oxidation-reduction potential.

Indicates the water’s tendency to oxidise or reduce other substances.

Track redox changes alongside the site’s treatment history.

Affected by pH, temperature and substances in the sample; not a direct chlorine measurement.

ECµS/cm · mS/cm

Electrical conductivity.

Measures how readily water conducts electricity through dissolved ions, such as mineral salts.

Spot changes in ionic content between sampling points or inspections.

Temperature affects conductivity. EC does not identify individual substances or measure turbidity.

These indicators do not certify drinking-water safety or replace microbiological and laboratory testing when required.

02 / Make the site visit count

From sample
to report.

A simple routine to keep your field measurements useful and comparable.

  1. Collect.

Use the clean sample bottle and follow a consistent sampling procedure. Note the sampling point and avoid contamination.

  2. Measure.

Check probe cleanliness and calibration, position it with the support ring and immerse as instructed. Allow the readings to stabilise.

  3. Record.

Add the readings, location, time and observations to your inspection report. Consider sample conditions, including temperature, when comparing results.

03 / The HYDRIQ SENS pack

Ready to sample.
Ready to travel.

Supplied in a Pelicase with custom-cut foam. Each component has its place for transport and everyday use.

  • HYDRIQ SENS multiparameter probe
  • Water sample bottle
  • Probe support ringWasher-shaped support to position the probe in the sample bottle.
  • Calibration solutionsReference solutions for the checks specified in the probe instructions.
  • 250 mL KCl storage solutionPotassium chloride solution to maintain hydrated storage conditions and help prolong sensor life. Follow the storage instructions; never add it to the sample or substitute distilled or deionised water.

After use, rinse and store the probe as instructed before returning it to its case.
